Toad

Another one of those crazy ideas was Miss Toad here. It turned out I was going to Katsukon that year, and I had been on a nostalgic, Super Mario Bros. Super Show kick at the time. I thought, "Dooooood, I should be a SHROOM!" and, well, went from there.

Lindze made such a hillariously adorable Punk Peach outfit, and my Toad took more of an early 90s rapper chick direction. I even had the chains and "brass knuckles" that said TOAD. Add in a real talking Mario doll I found at a swap meet, and poor- wackiness!

Jezeroth heard the news of this Mario gathering and showed up as that loveable italian plumber himself. The Kabuki came by as a drag queen peach! The Luigi... and the rest is history.

Thinking back, I realized, for that bit of random last minuteness, I had cosplayed with a group of costumers I truly admire. Jez, Lindze, Kabuki.... you all rock
