Making headway on the Duchess of Montzette... MORE crappy pictures from my messy sewing room and horrid ambient light! XD The bodice is mostly done, as is the skirt. Currently, I am letting my fingers rest (LOTS of hand sewing) while I wait for a metric ton of crystal beads to arrive. These will go in between each little puff, with some motifs on the sleeves and bodice outlined as well. A LOT of the detail just didn't show up in these pictures. All of the bodice lace has little holographic sequins running through it making it super sparkly. Also, the front of the skirt has some crystal beads sewn into the lace that catch light pretty well. What can I say, crappy digicam meets my lack of desire to haul the whole thing downstairs to the photo backdrop :) So yes... it is getting there. Viva la France!
